CONTACT: JON HYERS 651-704-0545

Hyers Productions and the community of West St. Paul are putting on a good old fashioned

haunted house located in the historic stables of the 1883 Rau-Strong House for Halloween

weekend.  The $2 donation is for Cheryl and her fight against cancer.

"We really want it to be family oriented, no Freddy Krugers, no Jasons- nothing slasher- just the old scary stuff like we had when we were kids. You know, Frankenstein, Dracula, witches...",

says Will, who put the project together.  "It's something the whole community can enjoy."

And the community is having fun getting it together: 30 to 40 people will turn into ghouls, goblins,

witches and werewolves to haunt and horrify the carriage house in spectacular settings and

special effects. Dave Thune, running for City Council is going try to make an appearance as well.

The cost of combating cancer has taken its toll on the family resources to the point that they

are in danger of losing the farm.  Your $2 donation will give the family a fighting chance and

make for a frightfully fun night and help Cheryl beat the odds of cancer.  A trust fund for Cheryl

has been set up at the Cherokee Bank for further donations.

Steve and Collete reside in the Rau-Strong House across the street from Will and Brenda.

They've taken advantage of their fabulous property for the last three years with their live

production of the Naivety scene for Christmas; complete with the stable, farm animals and

volunteer actors playing out the First Noel.  The proceeds go to the homeless shelter and last

year they raised over $3,000.

Hyers Productions is a local company which also produces commercials, documentaries, special

events as well as taping weddings and graduations.  This is will be their first Halloween and to

quote Jon Hyers, "let's just say that Frankenstein's Lab will be electrifying..."

Holidays also mean customer interactive-videos and creative effects for Hyers Productions,

who will be taping portions of the haunted house for future use in murder-mystery videos.

For the last several years, kids of all ages have "starred" in THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS

where they are video taped on several different sets and imported into a master tape with the

complete, 30-minute story.

So steer your broomsticks to (address) in West St. Paul.  The witching hours are 6 to 10 p.m.,

on October 29, 30th and 31.  Terrifying treats & Petrified Punch will be served and costumes

are encouraged.  Frankenstein is waiting...
